Apprently, I was in the 1 piece aluminum Powertrain driveshaft GRoup buy last year.. I installed the driveshaft and had a vibration over 50mph like most people and was told it has something to do with the cardboard inside. So I called powertrain and had them send me a new driveshaft with a so-called different cardboard. So then i re-install the 2nd driveshaft and still the vibration is there after 50mph... So I changed my tranny mount to a new one. STill a vibration.. So then now my car is at Mekatron and I tell them of my vibration problems in the driveshaft. They send it off to a driveshaft shop and they tell me the u-joints are too tight and shouldnt be that tight. So I had the u-joints replaced. They also rebalanced the driveshaft and apprently the weight that powertrain put on the driveshaft, wasn't even needed. So the driveshaft shop removed the weight on it and now it does not vibrate at all. Its not on my car yet, but they balanced the driveshaft. Just letting you guys know, maybe your driveshafts were improperly balanced and you might want to check that out. Also check the u-joints to make sure its not TOO stiff to move. thats all i have to say. im going to eat breakfast now. Eggs and sauages and potatoes. ah ha!!
